Chief Executive Officer
Jim is the CEO of Sunshine Billing and its sister company, Oncology Convergence, Inc. He works every day to enhance the value each company brings to its primary care, medical specialty and oncology clients. With an undergraduate degree in engineering, an MBA, and a Master’s in Finance, he can quickly distill complex healthcare revenue challenges and provide sound solutions. Before acquiring Sunshine Billing in 2021, Jim formed Oncology Convergence, Inc. in 2006, an oncology specific revenue cycle company. At OCI, Jim has been instrumental in helping guide oncology practices and hospital based systems increase efficiency and profitability. After acquiring Sunshine Billing, he began applying those skills to primary care and specialty practices. Jim and his team have modernized internal processes and maintained their long-standing emphasis on applying technology to healthcare billing challenges. This has fostered a full understanding of how to properly integrate and optimize revenue cycle management for specialty practices including urology, gastroenterology, neurology, and infusion centers. Always moving forward, Jim and the team at Sunshine Billing have worked with numerous medical practices to modernize their revenue cycles. Their expertise in prior authorizations, medical billing, coding, and A/R follow-up has helped clients increase revenue by 10-45 percent while reducing practice expenses. Outside of work, Jim enjoys playing hockey, skiing and spending time with his wife and two children. |

Kelly Kish Newman is the President of Sunshine Billing. Kelly joined in 2011 and has served in a variety of roles, including Clinical Director, Chief Operating Officer and now President. She leads a team of executives in identifying and onboarding new clients, implementing new technologies and tackling tough clinical billing challenges in order to help providers and patients focus on their care and treatment. With more than 30 years of healthcare experience, including direct patient care in medical oncology and bone marrow transplant, Kelly ensures that Sunshine Billing continues to keep the patient central to the companies’ operations. Prior to joining, Kelly was a Clinical Director for Arizona Oncology, a division of US Oncology (USON), where she established an Outpatient Stem Cell Transplant program and oversaw clinical operations for 10 outpatient medical oncology infusion centers and a central PET/CT scanning center across southern Arizona. In that role she helped develop and implement the first oncology specific electronic medical record with USON. Kelly also led the creation of a regional Home Health Program for Banner Health in Tucson, Arizona. Banner is the state’s largest employer. Kelly has a B.S. and M.S. in nursing at the University of Arizona, where she also taught nursing for several years. She currently lives in Tucson with her husband and enjoys traveling, live music, riding horses, swimming and spending time with her four adult children. |
